Fox News host Laura Ingraham put new colleague Donna Brazile on notice in a scathing tweet Wednesday night.
“My new colleague @donnabrazile just credited Obama for @realDonaldTrump’s mfging jobs boom. But Obama said those jobs weren’t coming back,” Ingraham tweeted.
Fox News announced Monday that Brazile, a political strategist and two-time acting chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), would be joining the network as a contributor.
In a heated interview during the 2016 election, Brazile denied to Fox News’ then-host Megyn Kelly that she had shared debate and town hall questions in advance with the Clinton campaign. Brazile’s statement on the matter was later found to be false, as multiple outlets reported.
Ingraham was not the first Fox News host to take their new colleague to task.
Brazile appeared as a guest on Hannity Tuesday night, where the politically opposed pair verbally duked it out over “Medicare for all,” late-term abortions, the Green New Deal, and border enforcement.
Brazile’s hire comes amidst the reported two-week suspension of Fox News host Jeannine Pirro. The network publicly chastised Pirro following controversial comments the judge made about Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-Minn.) fealty to the Constitution.
Pirro suggested that the freshman lawmaker, a Muslim woman, may adhere instead to Sharia law, citing Omar’s wearing of a hijab as evidence.
Though Fox News is taking bipartisan fire for their new hire from some fans and foes, others are applauding the controversial decision.
